Finish the story · mission board
Rex Infernus Main Quest
Official goals are three sentences, not a puzzle list: cleanse Shadowsmith places of power, find the Warden’s inner sanctum, and put an end to his loathsome existence. The quest is live when the map releases with Season 05 Reloaded at 9:00 AM PT on 20 August 2026. First-party blogs do not publish in-match step order; this board only stamps what those blogs name. The Reloaded announcement and the patch notes are the two first-party pages that lock those sentences and the reward rows.
Completion awards the Bloodthorn Wonder Weapon Skin, a Calling Card, and 10,000 XP. Collecting Audio Logs, Documents, and Artifacts awards another Calling Card and 10,000 XP. Finish before Directed Mode arrives and you get a unique Calling Card variant — proof Directed Mode is later. The Rex Infernus Mastery Challenge awards an Animated Calling Card and 10,000 XP. Each map challenge awards XP and a static Calling Card; Mastery is the animated card on top.

How to use the eight seals
Stamp a row when you have done that official task. The three goal seals are the briefing: Shadowsmith places of power, the inner sanctum, and ending the Warden. The five reward seals are Bloodthorn, the Main Quest Calling Card, the Intel Calling Card, the pre-Directed unique variant, and Mastery. The rail meter on every page reads N / 8 sealed and keeps that count after reload. Nothing on this board invents an Easter Egg machine name, a wonder-weapon craft step, or a round number.
Bloodthorn is a Wonder Weapon Skin, not a published gun proper name. Intel is specifically Audio Logs, Documents, and Artifacts. The pre-Directed variant exists only in the window before Directed Mode ships for this map. Mastery is the Animated Calling Card on top of the per-map static cards. Each of those reward rows also lists 10,000 XP except the Directed variant, which official copy describes as unique availability rather than an extra XP pile.
Goal 01 is cleanse Shadowsmith places of power. Goal 02 is find the Warden’s inner sanctum. Goal 03 is end the Warden. Reward rows are Bloodthorn, Main Quest Calling Card, Intel Calling Card, pre-Directed unique variant, and Mastery. Pressing a seal fills the wax mark and updates the persistent 8-count meter. Reloading the page keeps stamped rows. No seal is named after a competitor puzzle.
The meter is scoped to rex-infernus.wiki in this browser; it is not a Treyarch client stat. Bloodthorn is a Wonder Weapon Skin, not TR2, not Olympia, and not a published gun proper name. Community labels such as Warden’s Blight or Void Claw stay off this board because first-party Reloaded blogs never print those strings. The eight wax rows are the entire official list this site will stamp.
Launch window and ZombieZone
ZombieZone livestreamed the Main Quest race on 20 August from 8 AM PT pre-show / 9 AM PT go-live. That is the same morning the map and the quest unlock. If you are reading this after that morning, the quest is already in the Reloaded payload; you do not wait on a later “quest live” hotfix according to the blog and patch notes.
Directed Mode is upcoming with no first-party date. The unique Calling Card variant is the only official pressure to finish early. If you prefer a guided playlist, wait; if you want that variant, run Standard (or Cursed, which has no Main Quest guidance) before Directed Mode arrives. Cursed is documented on Map Systems; it is not a substitute for the three goal sentences.
9:00 AM PT on 20 August 2026 is both map live and quest live. ZombieZone’s 8 AM PT pre-show sits one hour earlier. Patch notes and the Reloaded blog agree. Directed Mode has no date. The unique Calling Card variant is the only official reason to finish before that playlist exists. Cursed still lets you fight the Warden; it just hides quest widgets.
You do not buy a Rex Infernus SKU. The map is a Season 05 Reloaded title update on Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, including Steam app 3606480, Battle.net, PlayStation, Xbox, and Game Pass. Last Call is the XP celebration with Operator Skins, a Loading Screen, and a Weapon Charm; it is not a fifth version id and it does not replace the three-goal briefing. If the client is still on the 13 November 2025 launch build, this quest is absent.
Intel versus Main Quest completion
Main Quest completion and Intel collection are parallel tracks. One Calling Card + 10,000 XP is tied to finishing the three official goals. Another Calling Card + 10,000 XP is tied to obtaining the necessary Intel: Audio Logs, Documents, and Artifacts. You can chase Intel without treating it as a hidden fourth goal sentence; official copy lists it as its own requirement.
The Mastery Challenge is a third cosmetic track: Animated Calling Card + 10,000 XP. Per-map challenges award XP and a static Calling Card. Keep those rows separate on the board so a Bloodthorn run is not confused with a collectibles run or a Mastery run. First-party sources still do not print where each Audio Log sits in the map.
Do not merge Intel into the three-goal sentence list. Audio Logs, Documents, and Artifacts are the Intel set. Completing the quest without Intel still awards Bloodthorn, the Main Quest Calling Card, and 10,000 XP. Completing Intel without treating it as a fourth goal still awards its own card. Mastery is a third cosmetic track with the animated card.
First-party blogs still refuse in-match step order, Audio Log coordinates, and Directed Mode’s date. This file therefore never invents a machine name, a round gate, or a craft recipe. Standard is the playlist with quest widgets. Cursed keeps the Warden fight and strips guidance. Directed Mode is the later guided playlist that closes the unique Calling Card variant window when it arrives.
Cinematic poster
The official cinematic (2VugSq0Hmxk) is the story companion to the three-goal briefing. The poster here is a Black Ops 7 host-game Steam still, not a labeled Rex Infernus capture. Use it as tone, then stamp the seals from actual in-match progress.
For the gameplay trailer instead, use the hub or the Wonder Weapon page, where the official trailer facade is bound. This route keeps the cinematic because the mission board is the story file.
The cinematic 2VugSq0Hmxk is bound to this route. The poster is img-steam-ss-3, host-game Steam art. The official YouTube thumbnail is also on this page as a second still. Trailer switching lives on the hub, The Map, and Wonder Weapon, where vid-rex-trailer is registered. This board keeps the story film next to the seals.
Keep the cinematic on this board because the seals are the story file; the hub and Wonder Weapon pages keep the gameplay trailer bind.
Call of Duty’s YouTube channel hosts 2VugSq0Hmxk; the gameplay trailer uHzq830dd7Y stays on the hub, The Map, and Wonder Weapon so this route does not double-bind vid-rex-trailer. The Steam still and the official cinematic thumbnail are two host-game images, not a labeled in-match capture of the inner sanctum. Watch the film for tone, then stamp only the eight official rows from actual in-match progress, because neither upload is a substitute for the three-goal briefing or the Bloodthorn reward table on this wax-seal mission board.
