Rex Infernus map
Rex Infernus is a confrontation with the Warden as the crew tries to save reality. First-party copy names it the final Round-Based Zombies map in Black Ops 7. It is not a standalone product: you need the host game on PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One / Series X|S, or Windows (Battle.net or Steam app 3606480) plus the 20 August 2026 Reloaded install at 9:00 AM PT. The Steam storefront identifies that host as Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, Windows-only on that store, Action genre, released 13 November 2025.
Season 05’s July first look already named the map, previewed Shadowsmiths, a Wonder Weapon, GobbleGum, a Perk-a-Cola, and two legacy weapons. Official first-look art shows a weathered wooden house on a floating rocky island; blogs do not name that structure. Playlist chrome labels were not captured from a live client, so this page stops at the title-update facts: Reloaded is the door, Black Ops 7 is the house, and Rex Infernus is the finale map inside it.
Treat Reloaded as the door and Black Ops 7 as the house. PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One / Series X|S, Battle.net, Steam 3606480, and Game Pass all receive the same payload. The July 13 2026 first look named the map early; August 20 9:00 AM PT is when it actually loads. Directed Mode is not in that install.
Bring a patched Black Ops 7 client, not a second purchase. Reloaded is the title update that injects Rex Infernus into Zombies on 20 August 2026 at 9:00 AM PT. The Steam host remains app 3606480 from 13 November 2025. PlayStation, Xbox, Battle.net, and Game Pass take the same payload. After install, the three official goals, Widow’s Wine, Deathspinners, TR2, Olympia, Fully Packed, Titan Trap, and Cursed rules are all in that drop. This page is the load-in file; the mission board and named-threat files hold the rest of the briefing.
Load Reloaded
The Main Quest is playable at the same 9:00 AM PT window. Directed Mode is not part of that drop; the unique Calling Card variant for finishing before Directed Mode arrives only makes sense if that playlist is later. Standard and Cursed are the named playlists in official copy. Cursed strips quest widgets, limits the HUD, and starts you on a Pistol. You still fight the Warden’s horde on this map in both modes.
Last Call celebrates the drop with Operator Skins, a Loading Screen, and a Weapon Charm from XP across modes. ZombieZone livestreamed the Main Quest race on 20 August from 8 AM PT pre-show / 9 AM PT go-live. If you own Black Ops 7 on Game Pass, PlayStation, Xbox, Battle.net, or Steam, Reloaded is the title update that adds Rex Infernus rather than a paid map SKU. GameRant states the same free-via-update reading; official pages treat it as Season 05 Reloaded content on the host game.
Standard keeps Main Quest widgets. Cursed does not. Both still take place on Rex Infernus against the Warden’s horde. Last Call’s Operator Skins, Loading Screen, and Weapon Charm come from XP across modes during the celebration, not from a paid map pass. GameRant’s free-via-update reading matches official “Reloaded content on Black Ops 7” language.
Mission on the ground
Cleanse Shadowsmith places of power, reach the inner sanctum, end the Warden. Those three sentences are the entire first-party Main Quest list. Intel — Audio Logs, Documents, and Artifacts — is a separate Calling Card + 10,000 XP track. The Titan Trap, Widow’s Wine, Fully Packed, TR2, and Olympia all ship in the same Reloaded payload. None of those systems wait on a later patch according to the Reloaded blog and patch notes.
The Warden’s quoted line is “The end of your miserable lives is at hand.” Deathspinners and the Web Mother are the named new threats. This getting-started page does not walk unverified puzzle order. Use the mission board for official goals and rewards, then jump to the named horde, perk, and box pages for the kit you actually spawn with.
Shadowsmith, inner sanctum, end the Warden: three sentences, zero published machine names. Intel is Audio Logs, Documents, and Artifacts on a parallel Calling Card. Titan Trap, Widow’s Wine, Fully Packed, TR2, and Olympia ship in Reloaded together. Use the mission board for rewards and the horde page for Deathspinners; this getting-started page stops at access.
Platforms that receive the update
The official Black Ops 7 hub lists PlayStation, Xbox, Battle.net, Steam, and Game Pass for the host game. Steam API appdetails for 3606480 confirms Windows on PC. Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S are the Xbox pair; PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 are the PlayStation pair. Rex Infernus is not a separate store row on those pages in this capture; it rides the Reloaded title update.
If your client is on the November 2025 Black Ops 7 launch build without Reloaded, you do not have this map. The first-look blog on 13 July 2026 named Rex Infernus as the mid-season Round-Based finale; the 20 August Reloaded blog is the live switch. Keep the host game patched to that Reloaded payload before you look for a playlist tile.
Steam appdetails lists Windows for 3606480. The official hub lists PlayStation, Xbox, Battle.net, Steam, and Game Pass. There is no captured in-client playlist string for “Rex Infernus” as a tile name, so this page does not invent one. Patch first, then look for the finale Round-Based map in Zombies.

The official gameplay trailer (uHzq830dd7Y) is the first-party motion brief for this map. The cinematic (2VugSq0Hmxk) is the story companion. Switch the facade here; both uploads sit on Call of Duty’s YouTube channel. Steam stills used as posters are host-game art, not labeled Rex Infernus map shots.
